Why Rewax Beehive Frames?
After you’ve kept bees for a few years you’ll realize that your wax is becoming very dark and hard. When you see this, it’s time to either replace the natural beeswax foundation if you have it or clean your plastic foundation and put a fresh coat of beeswax on the frames. Older wax can tend to become laced with various substances including pesticides that can cause real problems for the bees. It’s best to rotate frame out of you hive every few years. This accomplished by replacing a couple frames every year and keeping records of the the ones that still need to be replaced. Some to this by marking the year they replaced the frame on it.
